A new trail, always with Stefano!
Stefano lives in Switzerland and since 2015 he’s been fond of MTB.
For those who love cyclcing over and aren’t discouraged by cold autumnal and winter days, it is of fundamental importance to wear appropriate clothes. For this season Stefano has chosen Biotex because:
"My suggestion is to invest in some good techincal clothing, that prevents you from being soaked of sweat and keeps sufficiently warm."
A new TRAIL, around 40 km with 1500 difference in altitude, quite hard but very panoramic.

Wearing with several layers
Starting from head, Stefano in this video has worn: a helmet liner with a neck tubeeck Tube 2.0 made of merino wool, a turtleneck with a windproof thermal jacket with zipped sleeves to simplify gloves insertion, a windproof and waterproof jacket to wear in case of rain or as additional protection in case of very cold temperatures, a ¾ bib-short, a winter thertmal glove with adjustable closing on the wrist and a pair of thermal socks made of merino wool.
Zip on the jacket sleeves: very useful!
Stefano during the climb (minute 2.08):
“I believe that being able to open up the sleeves and rolling them up during the climb when you start sweating even with rigid climate conditions is very important”
Winter clothing: what features should it have?
An adequate winter clothing should meet the following prerequisites: it is sufficient that it keeps you dry so the material has to be technical, it musn’t let the air get inside therefore it has to be windproof, it should keep you warm but overall my suggestion is to get dressed with several layers.
The 3D turtleneck (3D turtleneck) works very well I am not wet but dry though I have sweated much today.
This jacket ( WP Thermal Jacket) is windproof and suitable when the temperature is aruond 5°/6° degrees, if you enter a shadow zone, youmust have an additional layer and the windproof and waterproof jacket I have worn is perfect.
Warm gloves, warm socks, warm helmet liner, even this breathable ¾ bibshort, I haven’t felt cold in my legs even if I am wearing also a air of leg-warmers and the pad is quite comfortable, so it is an outfit I suggest to everybody.
Even in this trail ......

Stefano has chosen
High quality product, breathable and comfortable at the same time.
Great thermal jacket. The zips on the sleeves can be open easily. The sleeve can be easily rolled up on the forearm, really important factor during the long climbs.
High craftsmanship jacket. A great protection for downhills in the moist wood even at low temperatures.
High craftsmanship bib-short. In winter, combined with a pair of leg warmers, it permits to cycle for long distances without feeling cold.
High quality, soft and warm glove. In downhill with temperature close to 0, the hand was always at a pleasant temperature
Great helmet liner. Even if you sweat much in the downhill, you don’t feel cold
With a merino sock you are never wrong. It is the best fabric to keep the foot warm.
